Issue Description
You create a Stair in Archicad but want to change the position of the break mark, or you notice it is placed in a strange location or angle.
Solution
The break mark of a staircase is typically determined by the height of the Floorplan Cut Plane. However, if you do not want to change the cut plane as to not affect the appearance of the rest of your plan, the break mark of the stair can be modified independently in Edit Mode.
A. Changing the Floor Plan Cut Plane
1. Go to Document > Floor Plan Cut Plane.
2. Change the value of Cut Plane height to the the Current Story to change the level of the Cut Plane and see the Stair's Break Mark change.
B. Moving Break Mark in Edit Mode
1. Select the staircase you want to modify.
2. Click on the Edit button to enter Edit Mode.
3. Click on the Symbol option in the Edit Mode menu panel.
4. Set the position and angle of the break mark. You can adjust this graphically by selecting the break mark symbol and dragging it by its nodes.
