Issue Description
You created a Graphic Override rule in Archicad for your Rail, but after applying it to your view, the rail is not displaying correctly. This can also happen if you are using the Renovation Filter to apply Graphic Overrides to your rail depending on its status.
In this example, the Graphic Override Rule affects the Pen type of All elements to appear black, but the railing still appears blue.
Solution
Here are some possible causes that can interfere with Graphic Override rules applied to Rails.
Model View Options (MVO)
1. Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options.
2. Expand the Railing Options section.
3. If the settings for the railing are set to Schematic, this option will affect graphic overrides, as you can control the rail's Attributes as a whole. You can see the railing's Pen type is set to a blue color.
4. Change the setting to Full to display the railing in correct attributes, or with the assigned Graphic Override rule.
Elevation/Section Settings
1. In the View Map, right-click on the Elevation or Section showing the railing.
2. Right Click on the elevation and select Elevation/Section Settings.
3. Expand the Model Appearance section.
4. Look for the Fade Distant Elements setting. If checked, uncheck it, as it might interfere with graphic overrides.
Graphic Override Combination
Note that Graphic override rules will be applied according to their Hierarchy on the Graphic override combination. If you have a graphic override just affecting the Railing, bring it to the top of the list so it has the highest priority in the combination.
