Why is the stair plan showing above the break line?

Issue description

After modeling a Stair in the floor plan view and setting its Relevant Story option to With Break Mark: Visible – Hidden, the segment above the break mark still appears.

Solution

This behavior is often caused by a setting in the view’s Model View Options, which can override the Stair’s display and force it to appear as a Reflected Ceiling Plan Display.

1. Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options...
2. Expand the Stair Options tab.

3. Next to Stair Symbol, change the option from Reflected Ceiling Plan Display to Floor Plan Display.
    

   

Tip: In Archicad, hotlinked modules inherit the Model View Options from the host file. If a module’s Stair symbol appears differently in its source file and the host project, check the host view’s Model View Options combination.
