Issue Description
You have imported a PDF into Archicad and would like to explode it to use within your project. You follow the steps but the PDF refuses to explode.
Solution
These are the steps for Importing and Exploding PDF:
1. Decide where you would like to place your PDF; Plan, Section, Worksheet, etc.
2. Go to File > External Content > place External Drawing.
3. With the drawing selected, right-click and select Explode into Current View.
4. In the Explode into Current View dialogue box, verify or change the options and click OK.
5. The PDF content will now be converted into 2D Archicad elements.
BUT If this does not give the desired outcome it could be because:
1. When you explode a drawing (either a DWG or a PDF), exploded elements will have New renovation status by default. So your New Elements are set to "Hide" in the Renovation Filter Options.
2. The PDF contains no Vector data. Archicad only allows you to import and convert the vector information into usable elements.
