Issue description
When you want to move your software license to another computer or make it available for other users, you need to upload it to the license pool. To use your license on a new device, you must download it from the pool using the License manager tool.
Solution
The License manager tool, is an application which is automatically installed when you install Archicad, it allows you to manage your software-based licenses. By uploading your license to the pool, you make it available for download on another computer. This workflow is required when you want to transfer your license between devices or users.
To upload your license to the license pool:
- Start the GS/Graphisoft License manager tool on the computer where your license is currently active.
- Sign in with your Graphisoft ID if prompted.
- Select your active license from the list.
- Click Upload to return the license to the pool.
- Wait for the confirmation message that the license is uploaded successfully.
To download your license from the license pool:
- Start the License manager tool on the target computer.
- Sign in with the same Graphisoft ID used for the license.
- Select the available license from the pool.
- Click Download to activate the license on this device.
- Wait for the confirmation message that the license is downloaded and activated.
Note: An internet connection is required for both uploading and downloading licenses. If you are using a network license, uploading to the pool is not necessary. For hardware keys, use the same tool to update or manage your license.
