Issue Description
If we use Design Options in a Teamwork Project it is possible that after we Accept & Merge a Design Option, some objects from the other 'deleted' options in the Design Options Set are still lingering in the background.
Solution
This occurs if the objects in any of the deleted Design Options were Reserved by a different user than the one who performed the Accept & Merge action. The lingering objects will have a Missing Design Option status and will be visible in other Design Options.
The recommended workflow to avoid this is for users in the project to Release All before Relinking objects to a Design Option, and once everyone is done working on the design options and ready to merge them into the main model, Release All elements again before performing Accept & Merge on one of the Design Options.
If we have already merged the Design Options and would like to delete the lingering objects, we can do so by using the Missing Design Option status to isolate these elements with the Find & Select tool or in a Schedule's Scheme Settings.
To isolate the lingering elements with the Find & Select Tool:
- Go to Edit > Find & Select
- Click Add...
- In the Criteria's Search Bar type Design Option...
- Select ID and Categories - Design Option Missing
- Click Add
- Make sure that in the Criteria Set, Design Option Missing is set to True
To list the lingering elements in a Schedule:
- Go to the Project Map
- Select Schedules in the Project Map List
- Click on Settings... OR Right Click > New Schedule OR Right Click > Scheme Settings...
- Under the Criteria list click Add...
- In the Criteria's Search Bar type 'Design Option...'
- Select ID and Categories - Design Option Missing
- Click Add
- Click Ok to finalize your schedule
