Issue description
The Window and Door tools can have an integrated dimension marker in their floorplan representation, you notice that after enabling the marker in the Window/Door setting dialogue, it is missing on plan views.
Solution
This issue has two common causes: Model View Options Settings or Renovation Filter Settings.
Modifying Model View Options
- Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options...
- Expand the Construction Element Options section.
- Check the with Marker option under Door and Window to activate the dimension markers in your View.
- Click OK.
Note: You can save Model View Option Combinations and apply them to your saved Views.
Modifying Renovation Filter Options
If you are using Renovation Filters in your plan Views, it is important to note that some settings override the visibility of built-in dimension markers:
Go to Document > Renovation > Renovation Filter Options... or Open the Renovation Filter Options window from the Renovation palette.
- Select the Renovation Filter applied to your View.
- In the Filter Settings section, verify that the Hide Opening Dimension Marker is disabled by clicking on the checkbox to remove the tick symbol.
- Click OK to confirm your changes.
Note: It is also possible that the walls that some Doors/Windows are placed in have the incorrect Renovation Status, which you can fix by selecting the element and changing its status in the Renovation Palette.
