Issue Description
The Window and Door tools allow us to add an integrated dimension marker in their floorplan representation. It is possible that after having activated the Marker on the Window/Door setting dialogue, it is missing on plan views.
Solution
This issue can have two causes: Model View Options Settings or Renovation Filter Settings.
Model View Options Fix
- Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options...
- Expand the Construction Element Options section
- Check the with Marker option under Door and Window to activate the dimension markers in your View
- Click OK
Note that you can save Model View Option Combinations and apply them to your saved Views.
OR
Renovation Filter Options Fix
If we are using Renovation Filters in our project, it is important to note that some settings override the visibility of built-in dimension markers. To verify it we can:
- Go to Document > Renovation > Renovation Filter Options... or Open the Renovation Filter Options window from the Renovation palette
OR
- Select the Renovation Filter applied in your View
- Under Filter Settings we can define the visibility of elements based on their renovation status and if their appearance will be overridden by the Renovation Filter
- We can also find a checklist with specific settings
- Deactivate the Hide Opening Dimension Marker by clicking on the checkbox
- Click Ok
The cause can also be that we might have assigned the incorrect Renovation Status to our elements, which we can fix simply by selecting the element and changing its status in the Renovation Palette.
