Issue description
After adding a handle or knob to a Window or Door, we might notice that they are correctly displayed on 2D views but nowhere to be found in the 3D window. It might even be possible that the handle/knob is missing in both 2D and 3D

Solution
This is due to a setting in the Model View Options, and inconsistency in the project's Model View Options Combinations.
- Make sure that the following settings are applied:
- For Windows: Window Settings > Basic Window Settings > Handle.
- For Doors: Door Settings > Basic Door Settings > Handle and Kick Board.
-
Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options... or Open the Model View Options Window by clicking on the icon in the Quick Options bar.
Expand the Section Detail Level of Curtain Wall Door and Widow Symbols.
Under Door - 3D and Section/Elevation you will see an icons representing objects Knobs and Door/Window Handles.
-
Click on the Knob icon to activate it. It will be highlighted in blue and with a checkmark.
Note: For Monolith Library Doors and Windows (Archicad 27 and earlier) The option to turn on Door/Window Knobs will be under Miscellaneous Settings for Library Parts. - Make sure Doors/Windows in Section/Elevation and 3D are set to Full under any other language-specific section for Door and Window symbols in the model view options dialog:
Click OK to close the window and save your settings.
Remember to apply the updated Model View Options combination to the desired Views.
