Door leaf type not updating on elevation

Issue description

When customizing a Door or Window settings, such as the Leaf Type, Frame, or Handles, the changes made do not reflect on Elevation or Section Views. 

Solution

This can be caused due to the Model View Options set for the affected Elevation View.

1. Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options... or open the Model View Options Window by clicking the icon on the Quick Options bar.

             OR           

2. Expand the Detail Level of Door and Window Symbols tab.

3. Click to expand the list under Section/Elevation and 3D.

4. Here we will find 3 levels of detail. The issue is often caused because the Model View Options Combination active in the View has these symbols set to Schematic or Simplified. 

5. Change this setting to Full according to your needs.

Additional option for Doors from Archicad Library 27 and earlier

1. It is also possible to edit the 2D representation from the Door Settings Dialog.
2. For example, for this double hinged door, open Door Settings > Hinged Door Settings > Door Settings and Opening... > 2D Detail Level

This could be useful if you need one object to be represented the same way across your project views. But it might be less efficient than relying on Model View Option Combinations.
