Issue Description
When customizing a Door or Window settings, such as the Leaf Type, Frame, or Handles, the changes we make do not reflect on the Elevations or Sections.
Solution
This can be caused due to the Model View Options set for the Elevation View.
- Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options... or open the Model View Options Window by clicking in the icon at the bottom of the Archicad Workspace.
OR
- Expand the Section Detail Level of Door, Window and Skylight Symbols
- Expand the list next to 3D and Section/Elevation
- Here we will find 3 levels of detail; what could be causing the issue is that the Model View Options Combination active in the View has 3D and Section/Elevation symbols set to Schematic or Simplified. Change it to Medium or Full according to your needs.
Note that the level of detail of the 2D symbol, might vary from one Library Object to another. The advantage of this method is that you can have different levels of detail depending on your Views instead of setting them object by object.
OR
- It is also possible to edit the 2D representation from the Door Settings Dialog.
- For example, for this double hinged door, open Door Settings > Hinged Door Settings > Door Settings and Opening... > 2D Detail Level
This could be useful if you need one object to be represented the same way across your project views. But it might be less efficient than relying on Model View Option Combinations.
