How to edit just one edge of a slab?

Description 

In certain projects, you might create a slab in a configuration where the slab's edge is exposed. It may be necessary to handle this slab edge separately. For example, it may warrant a different material.

Solution

To customize the edge(s) of a slab in Archicad:

1. Select the slab, or its hole, in floorplan or 3D view.
2. Click on the desired edge using the Mercedes cursor to display the pet palette.
3. Click the Custom Edge settings icon to open the dialog.
4. In the dialog:
   •  Set the required edge angle (vertical, custom).
   • If needed, override the slab edge surface using the surface settings.
   • Choose whether to apply  apply the changes made only to the Clicked edge, the Selected polygon (applicable to holes for example), or All edges.
5. Click OK to confirm your selections and exit the dialog.
