Issue Description
You created a Graphic Override Combination for your Elevation Views, but you see that the Override Rules are applied correctly in some views, and not at all in others. Even if you have selected the Graphic Override combination from the View Settings for the specific views.
Solution
For example, you isolate some windows with a different Pen color in an Elevation View, and the specific Graphic Override Rule for the windows is not displaying in the right Pen.
There is a setting to watch out for in the Elevation/Section Settings window:
- Find your Elevation in the View Map, Right Click > Elevation Settings.
- Expand the Model Appearance section, and find the Fade Distant Elements setting. You can uncheck this option completely, as it might be interfering with your Graphic Override.
OR
If you are using Fade Distant Elements in combination with your Graphic Override, then you want to modify the Horizontal Range of the Elevation Marker, which is added automatically when you activate this Model Appearance option.
You will notice that with the Fade Distant Elements option, a pair of guide lines and a Horizontal Range line is added to your Elevation Marker (this will not be reflected in your final documentation but does affect your model's appearance on the Elevation View).
You can edit this line, like any other line in Archicad, by clicking on it, you will notice a Pet Palette appears as well. You can simply drag this line to define what parts of the model will be considered 'distant elements'.
Everything contained within the boundaries of the Elevation Marker and the Horizontal Range line will have a normal graphical representation in your Views. Everything 'behind' this range line will be affected by the Fade Distant Elements Override.
