Issue Description
If you encounter any of the following problems:
- You can't launch the Archicad installer
- Archicad fails to open
- You encounter slowness or bugs in Archicad
- You can't run your license managers
Antivirus software may be the cause. To avoid these problems, we invite you to exclude Archicad from your antivirus software by following the steps below.
Solution
Windows
- Close all open Archicad instances.
- Open your antivirus software.
- Go to the Folder Exclusion Zone, also called Trust Zone.
- Exclude the following Graphisoft folders:
C:\Program Files\Graphisoft C:\Users\<username>\Graphisoft C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Graphisoft C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Graphisoft
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Maxon
C:\ProgramData\Graphisoft
C:\ProgramData\Archicad - Go to Trusted Applications or Authorized Applications and add the following:
C:\Program Files\Graphisoft\<Archicad version>\Archicad.exe C:\Program Files\Graphisoft\<Archicad version>\Archicad Starter.exe C:\Program Files\Graphisoft\<Archicad version>\curl.exe C:\Program Files\Graphisoft\<Archicad version>\Cineware\Cineware.exe
- Restart Archicad.
macOS
- Close all open Archicad instances.
- Open your antivirus software.
- Go to the Folder Exclusion Zone, also called Trust Zone.
- Exclude the following Graphisoft folders:
~/Applications/Graphisoft ~/Users/<username>/Library/Applications support/Graphisoft ~/Users/<username>/Library/Caches/Graphisoft ~/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Graphisoft
- Go to Trusted Applications or Authorized Applications and add
~/Applications/Graphisoft/<Archicad version>/<Archicad version>.app ~/Applications/Graphisoft/<Archicad version>/Cineware/Cineware.app
- Restart Archicad.
