Issue Description
You have placed an Associative Railing on a Stair, but the railing's inner posts do not align with the Stair's steps, or are landing at inconsistent positions across treads.
Solution

Note the Tread Going dimension, it is advisable to use a Fixed Going Depth.
- Close the stair settings, select the Railing and open the Railing Settings.
Open the Segment section and set Pattern Distribution to Fixed Length.
TIP: Changing the Pattern Position will also help align the Inner Posts.
- Go to the Inner Posts tab, and in the Inner Post Settings modify the value Distance from Previous.
