Issue description
When applying a saved Favorite, you may notice that not all settings (such as Layers) are transferred to the new element. This article explains how to use Element Transfer Settings to control which Favorite settings are applied.
When you save a Favorite, all settings are stored. However, when applying a Favorite to new elements, the Element Transfer Settings control which of those stored settings will actually be applied.
Solution
To adjust which settings (e.g., Layer, Home Story) are transferred, set the desired Element Transfer Settings each time you place a Favorite.
Open the Favorites Palette (Window > Palettes > Favorites).
Click on Additional Settings > Element Transfer Settings (see picture).
- When the Element Transfer Settings box appears;
- Either find the setting you want to include in the right column and activate it.
- Or, select one of the existing Element Transfer Settings in the left column, which may already apply the desired setting.
- Click OK.
TIP: You will see that you can create your own Sets of Element Transfer Settings and apply them to the Favorites you’d like.
