Issue Description
When using Design Options, you might want to showcase different material options for the same element, a wall for example, without modeling the element again and again.
Solution
We can showcase different materials/composites/surfaces for a wall using the following workflow:
First, go to Window>Palettes>Design Options Palette
- Select the wall you wish to edit > Select a Design Option > Relink.
- Open the Design Option Manager and click Duplicate.
This will automatically duplicate the wall to the new Design Option, without you having to model it individually.
- Rename your new Design Option.
- Click Ok
- Activate your desired Design Option on the Design Options palette.
- Select the elements you wish to change and modify their material or composite in their corresponding settings window.
- In the Design Options palette, double-click on Main Model to activate it, and switch visibility of each option to toggle between the material possibilities.
