Issue Description
Goodies are free add-ons developed by Graphisoft to complete Archicad with specific abilities and features. You can install all Goodies at once with the help of the Archicad Goodies Suite installer.
There may be occasions when you have installed the Goodies but are unable to find them in the Design > Design Extras menu.
Solution
Here are a few ways in which you can make sure the Goodies are visible in your Archicad:
1. Install the latest Archicad Upgrade.
Goodies are of Build 3000. If your Archicad has a higher build, you need to run the latest update installer of Archicad. It will update your installed Goodies to the build of your Archicad. This is necessary before you first start working with Goodies. Later, when you update your Archicad again, your Goodies will be updated automatically too.
TIP: You can check for the latest updates for your Archicad version via Help > Check for Updates...
2. Manually add the Goodies to your menu
- Go to Options > Work Environment > Work Environment...
- In the Work Environment window navigate to the Menus section.
- Under Customize Menus > Commands and Menus: you will find a search bar.
- Set the search bar options to All menus in alphabetical order as shown in the picture:
- Under Design Extras you will find the different Goodies menus, you can add them by selecting one and clicking on the Add Selected button.
- Click OK to save them to your Work Environment.
3. Add the Goodie commands you need to your toolbar.
- Go to Options > Work Environment > Work Environment...
- In the Work Environment window navigate to the Toolbars section.
- Under Customize Toolbar > Commands and Menus: you will find a search bar.
- Set the search bar options to All menus in alphabetical order as shown in the picture:
- Type in the search bar to find the Goodie Toolbars you need. Select them and click on the Add Selected button.
- Click OK to save them to your Work Environment.
Please note: Goodies are based on legacy code which Graphisoft does not support anymore. Feel free to use them but please be advised that they might not function properly and they will not be fixed or upgraded.
