Issue Description
Sometimes walls just simply will not join as expected.
Solution
Here are a few settings to watch out for:
- Reference line location and intersection
The reference line location of a wall will affect the way they connect, you might want to experiment with this setting. Another possible cause is if there are multiple reference lines in one spot.
- Intersection Priority:
Your composites and walls might not be connecting correctly due to the Intersection Priority of their materials. Go to Options > Element Attributes > Building Materials and for every material you will find an Intersection priority value, which can be modified:
Note that if two materials have the same exact value, this could cause odd intersection behavior.
- Layers:
An incorrect intersection may also be caused if you have 'stacked elements' in the same story on the same layer, a damp course set below your main wall. To test if this is the case simply place the damp course wall onto its own layer and change the layer intersection number (level) to 2.
- Renovation Status
It is important to know that elements with different Renovation status don't interact with each other (except Existing and New ones). This might be what is causing the connection issue between your walls, so check each of the wall's renovation status.
Additionally: Check that you don't have 'Clean Wall & Beams Intersections' turned OFF.
